Dear Palm Harbor Community Member & Business Owner,

My name is Joe Corr and I am the President of the Palm Harbor Library Endowment Foundation. The purpose of our Foundation is to promote public support and awareness of capital improvement projects for the Palm Harbor Library. Our task is important because the library resides in an unincorporated area where no city exists and although the facility is County-owned, minimal assistance is received.

Over the years the Foundation has financially assisted with such projects as the:
-Library Road Sign
-Parking Lot Expansion
-Development of the Yoffredo Activity Center
-Installation of a New AV System
-Acquisition of a Book/DVD Vending Machine
-Providing an additional EXIT Door at the library

We are now embarking on a new initiative, the “$45K Club”. The goal is to help the library’s “LED Retrofit Project”. Estimated cost will be…$45,000.

So why do we need LEDs? Safety, the environment, and cost are the three reasons for acquiring LED lights in your library. LED lights do not give off heat unlike traditional light bulbs. This will keep the library building safer with reduced fire hazard. These lights also use less power and are replaced less frequently. Lastly, these lights have a dramatic effect on the electric bill. Being able to cut back on a utility cost will allow the library to improve services in other areas.

I or one of my fellow Board members would very much like to meet with you to discuss how you can support your local library and in turn, how the library can promote your business. I can be reached through our ‘Contact’ page above. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Joe Corr
President, Palm Harbor Library Endowment Foundation
