MISSION STATEMENT

“The Palm Harbor Library Endowment Foundation is a non-profit (501c3) whose purpose is to promote public support and provide resources to enhance the facility and services of the Palm Harbor Library.”

General Background:

The “Palm Harbor Library Endowment Foundation, Inc.”, (PHLEF) was established in 1999. Articles of Incorporation were filed on June 14, 1999.

The tax ID # is 59-3589810

The original by-laws were established in 1999 and have since been revised in 2006, 2010, and 2016.

An “Investment Policy” was established July 16, 2018.

The Certificate of Exemption # is 85-8017916189C-9 effective 11/08/19 thru 11/30/24

 

Capital Projects:

Over the years, the PHLEF has funded several capital projects. They include but are not limited to:

$100K- 2008 Remodeling Project
$72.6K- Expand Main Parking Lot
$60K- Expand East-Side Parking Lot
$46.5K- Off-site Library Media Box Machine
$29K- Road Sign
$21K- Yoffredo Activity Center
$15K- Two Portable Offices
$11K- Children’s MakerSpace

 

Current Fundraising Activities:

“Naming Rights Policy”
To provide the Palm Harbor residents with the highest quality library services and to provide library members and organizations the opportunity to participate actively in the growth of Palm Harbor Library, a “Naming Rights Policy” has been developed to name areas of the library and other physical property in five-year intervals. Depending on the area, the amounts will vary as follows:

COLLECTIBLE         $2,500 and up
DE LUXE EDITION   $1,500- $2,499
FIRST EDITION        $   500- $1,499

 

“Name Your Day Program”
Another initiative to increase revenue for library operations as well as promoting goodwill in the community, the PHLEF created the “Name Your Day” program. The purpose is to celebrate an individual at the library on a particular day for a $50 fee. This will include the name on the following:

Library Road Sign

One Bookplate of Book of Choice

All Library Electronic Signs

Listed on Library’s Website

“Name Your Day” certificate

One Reserved Parking Space
